What is Forté?

At its heart Forté is a powerful, full-featured human resources information system. Forté tracks employee information like date of hire, pay rates, department and work location. It can give you complete contact information, EEO data and emergency contacts. Forté records benefit program participation and beneficiary information. And Forté lets you schedule and complete employee evaluations on-line.

But Forté does much more than that. We also offer on-line leave tracking and e-mail based requests and approval. You can administer training and other funds program in the same way. Want more? OK – how about a complete worksite database and department database. Forté is especially useful for organizations with multiple locations. Because it is a web-based system, your employees can access Forté from anywhere. And because approvals, evaluations and reports are routed via e-mail, everyone always has access to the most current information.

Forté also does time and project management. Your managers can set up projects and tasks and assign them to employees who enter time worked. Now managers can see where their staff resources are being spent with a single mouse click. The time card application can be set with default values and customized for your organization.

Forté includes a News & Notices application that will significantly reduce e-mail traffic in your organization. No longer will staff send out e-mails to all employees telling them there are cookies in the lounge at the headquarters building. Notices are posted on the electronic bulletin board and can be targeted to specific worksites, departments or classifications. All notices also have a expiration date.

Sounds good so far. Any other reasons I would want to use this application?

Because Forté is a hosted web application you never have to worry about installing software, installing upgrades, troubleshooting problems, backing up your data, making sure your data is secure and accessible and making sure you have Forté installed on the computer you are using. As long as you have a computer with an Internet connection, you can use Forté anywhere, at any time.

If access is that easy, is my data secure?

You access Forté with a unique Username and Password. All data transactions in Forté are conducted using secure 128 bit encrypted technology. Our servers use the latest security techniques and our network is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year by trained and skilled network technicians.

If the data and the application are hosted, will I always be able to get to my information?

We guarantee a minimum of 99.5% uptime. That means our servers, networks and attached services will be available to you at least 99.5% of the time. You will be able to access your data when you need it. We use top of the line network hardware and software and we have two redundant data centers so if one goes down, the other will be available.

What does Forté cost?

Forté is a service and is sold as a yearly subscription. Our low price gives you access to all the modules of Forté including the staff directory, contact, personal and employment information, benefits and beneficiaries, employee evaluations, EEO data, the News & Notices organizational bulletin board and reports. You also get leave tracking and requests, funds tracking and requests, time and project management, applicant tracking and much more.

Included in the subscription fee are unlimited users, free training and the data backup and support services.
